All the Pilots with Bad Axe Balloon are fully certified by the FAA. We pride ourselves on having a full-time professional staff to take care of you. Our pilots have over 30,000 hours combined experience in flight and a perfect safety record.

Trever Engler – Chief Pilot/Owner

Trever has been in aviation his entire life, literally growing up at an airport. He is a commercial pilot for airplanes, jets, helicopters, and balloons. He is a Class D skydiver with more than 2300 jumps. Trever is also an F.A.A. certified aircraft mechanic and inspector.

Alan Engler – Pilot

Al has also been in aviation his entire life. Al is commercial pilot for airplanes, jets, helicopters and balloons. He is a Certified flight and ground instructor and also is an F.A.A. certified mechanic and inspector.
